Visiting appointments for staff
- A visiting appointment is an unpaid position within the School.
- Visiting appointments are normally for a period greater than 3 months.
- Overseas appointments will need to apply for a Visiting Academic visa (subclass 419) for visits of 3 months or longer; please note that the application process can take up to 12 weeks. A visa application fee of approximately $400 is payable to the Australian Government. A letter of acceptance must first be issued by UNSW Medicine prior to any visa application.
Forms and policies for visiting appointments are found on the Human Resources website. The HR20 form is under the 'Conferral of Academic Titles' section.
The completed forms together with a CV should be sent to the Head of School. The School will then forward the forms to Human Resources for processing.
