Dr Ria Arnold is an NHRMC Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Lecturer in the Department of Exercise Physiology, School of Health Sciences, UNSW. She is also an Accredited Exercise Physiologist.
Dr Arnold's research is focused on improving outcomes for people with peripheral neuropathy caused by diabetes and chronic kidney disease. Her studies span pathophysiological investigations, clinical trials, and health systems research. Her research program is also examining the role of Exercise Physiology as part of multidisciplinary care teams of dialysis and CKD patients. Her studies are working to identify pragmatic indicators for referral to exercise professionals and work toward equitable access to allied health in this context
