Welcome to the 2019 Cross-Faculty Biomedical Symposium. This annual event is organised by the School of Medical Sciences (SOMS, Medicine), the School of Biotechnology & Biomolecular Sciences (BABS, Science) and the Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering (GSBmE, Engineering). This event aims to bring together researchers across UNSW to build cross-disciplinary collaborations. The program showcases diverse research from SoMS, BABS and GSBmE, UNSW Futures Institutes, and a range of UNSW’s core facilities.

The symposium program and important information about the day are outlined below and in the attached documents.

Important Information

The registration desk and talks will be held in Wallace Wurth LG03, which is on the lower ground of the Wallace Wurth building. There will be signs in the main lobby pointing you to the stairs to take to lower ground. Lunch, afternoon tea and the poster session will be in the main lobby of the Wallace Wurth building.

Please arrive at 9.30 am to register and pick up your name badge.

If you are presenting a poster you can pick up thumb tacks from the registration desk when you arrive. Please do not use Blu Tack on the poster boards. Please put up your poster early so attendees have a chance to look at posters throughout the day. Please ensure you stand by your poster during the poster session and remember that you are required to prepare a no longer than 3-minutes speech to be assessed by the judges.

Lunch, afternoon tea and drinks/nibbles will be provided. Please note the stickers on the boxes for various dietary needs.

The current symposium program is attached. Please note that this is subject to change on the day.
