We can design exercise therapy programs for home or for a local facility of your choice. Alternatively, many of our clients attend our AEP Exercise Clinic.

Our exercise therapy and lifestyle consultations are aimed at improving the quality of life for people with chronic disease and complex illness. Conclusive evidence shows that exercise works like medicine and is beneficial in the management of a variety of conditions including:

  • obesity & dysmetabolic syndrome

We help you sustain long term changes to your physical activity and lifestyle habits. Our consultations are based on the principles of self-management, incorporating motivational interviewing, working in collaboration with you to design the optimal program, and building your confidence through goal-setting for progressive achievements.

You may require 2 to 5 exercise therapy and lifestyle consultations depending on your current physical activity levels and functional capacity. For example, if you currently have a sedentary lifestyle, an effective treatment model may require up to 5 consultations over a 12 week period or alternatively, if you are relatively active, you may use 3 to 5 visits over 12 months.

This ensures that activity levels are progressively increased and physical status is improved optimally. Additionally, you will acquire the necessary self-management skills for long-term changes in your lifestyle. You may attend the clinic for a follow-up consultation every 3 to 6 months thereafter.
