Neurotoxicity Society

Dear Colleagues

You are cordially invited to join the Neurotoxicity Society which was chartered in November 2001 as a non-profit Scientific Society focused on the study of topics related to neurodegenerative disorders, neuropsychiatric disorders, neural adaptations to substance abuse; and to mechanisms associated with nerve regeneration, neurotrophic actions, neurotoxic mechanisms and neuroprotection. The journal Neurotoxicity Research as the official Society journal.

Membership in the Neurotoxicity Society is us$80 (us$35 for Associate members; us$25 for predoctoral students). Regular members, Associate members and student members receive an online subscription to the journal Neurotoxicity Research ($25 additional to add a printed version) and register at reduced rate in Society meetings. Associate membership is reserved for scientists and clinicians in developing countries, when unable to pay regular member dues. Voting is reserved for regular members. You are welcome to browse the Neurotoxicity Society web site (www.med.uchile.cl/oqclub/NS/).

Aims

The aim of this society is to unite basic and clinical scientists in the Neurotoxicity field, in a organization which will:
Foster scientific interaction directed towards increased understanding of processes, mechanisms, and outcomes of neurodegeneration, nerve regeneration, neuroprotection, neurotrophin actions, and the associated role of glia and other satellite cells;
Facilitate the advance of preclinical research discoveries to clinical and medical utility;
Promote dissemination of knowledge on these topics to the public;
Host scientific meetings on a neurotoxicity theme, at regular intervals.
