Wallace Wurth Redevelopment

A meeting to discuss the work schedule for the WW refurbishment project will be held every Tuesday at 11am. Those attending will be John Hunt (SoMS), Geoff Leeson (UNSW Project Manager), Carlo Cordi (Site Manager, Bovis) and Anastasia Korlimbinis (SoMS). Fire Stairs M-Wing:
Lend Lease are currently demolishing the fire stairs on Level 2 and are working their way down the building.

This week Lend Lease will be constructing hoardings in two locations:

Wallace Wurth - Bioscience Link on every floor:
Currently there are double doors at this exit on every floor. Lend Lease will build hoardings in the link blocking the fire door on the left (as you exit) and the route will be narrowed to 1 meter (one-door exit). Please be aware of this during any evacuation, the space will be narrower than normal. These hoardings will be in place for about 6 months.

Internal staircase:
The Wallace Wurth internal middle staircase will have a hoarding on each landing against the wall facing Botany Street. These will project about 20cm out and 2.5 metres high. This will have little impact for people exiting the building.
