Neuroscience Group

The Neuroscience group at The University of New South Wales is comprised of research groups within the School of Medical Sciences with the common goal of advancing our knowledge of brain structure and function and how this is modified in injury and disease.

Researchers in the group have interests in a diverse range of neuroscience areas and use a wide range of techniques from molecular biology to behavioural measurements in both animal models and human tissues. The specific interests of our research groups are in autonomic neuroscience, comparative neuroscience, human motor control, membrane biophysics, neural injury and repair, neurodevelopment and neurodegeneration, neuroinformatics, neuropathology, neuropharmacology and sensory neuroscience. The UNSW Neuroscience group is also an integral member of the wider Brain Sciences UNSW group.
