Teaching excellence award for Head of School

Professor Denis Wakefield, Head of the School of Medical Sciences, has received a 2005 Vice-Chancellor's Award for Teaching Excellence

Professor Wakefield received the award for his outstanding contribution to teaching in Postgraduate Research Supervision. He is the only member of staff to receive an award in this category for 2005. The award medal will be presented at a graduation ceremony in 2006.

The Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Teaching Excellence recognise and encourage sustained excellence in learning and teaching and in postgraduate research supervision. Excellence must be demonstrated in terms of the student learning experience and outcomes achieved.
