SoMS success in latest NHMRC funding
School of Medical Sciences staff have received more than $6 million in grants and awards from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC).
SoMS staff are involved in 14 of the 26 successful UNSW funding applications. Seven project grants, four research fellowships and three career development awards will be given, starting in 2006.
Head of School, Professor Denis Wakefield was delighted with the outcome of this round of NHMRC funding. “I think this is a wonderful result which represents a revival in the success of SoMS in competitive research grants.”
