It is important that a realistic balance between educational training and productive research be negotiated between postgraduate students and their supervisors.

You must be aware of your responsibilities as well as those of your supervisors when starting your candidature. Please take a moment to read them on the Graduate Research School website in the Policy and Procedures section.

If you are a new research student, you should also go to the Graduate Research School website and download 2 booklets: the “Essentials for Postgraduate Research Students” and the “Research student handbook”.
