
The Clinical Anatomy and Surgical Skills Unit (CASSU) provides a valuable educational resource for national and international surgeons to develop and refine their practical skills in the best possible training environment.
We continuously improve our methods of teaching and invest in cutting edge technologies that enable our clinicians to practice and deliver advanced and effective techniques and allied disciplines in the field of surgery. These pioneering skills and methods are of considerable benefit to the patient community.
CASSU aims to provide the following:
- Surgical training in accordance with the highest international standards
- Facilities for the upgrading of surgical skills and clinical anatomy knowledge in keeping with advances in surgical techniques and procedures
- Teaching of practical surgical skills to medical professionals
- Enhancing the teaching skills of practicing clinicians involved in postgraduate education
- Promoting the highest standards of patient care to medical professionals
The Unit operates with the approval of the UNSW Ethics Committee.
